Judging Criteria

Guidelines for Residential, Business, Schools and Churches

• Garden Colours - impact of floral displays, use of colour in foliage, fruit, or stems, integration with permanent planting. (It is not necessary to have floral displays to judge this category) (Score 1-10)
  
  
• Permanent Planting - all year round interest in the garden, interesting foliage, flowers, berries, colour, height, integration with floral displays (Score 1-10)
  
  
• Overall Design - appropriate use of a range of landscape features including floral displays, permanent planting, hard landscaping, garden accents, etc. The appropriate context of the design given the property and its surroundings. (Score 1-10)
  
  
• Health of the Garden - quality of lawns or other features, absence of weeds, diseases, pests, cleanliness, general health of plants. (Score 1-10)
